lowband vhf

hey everybody i was just wondering if anybody has any Ham Radio crystals for this Maxon handheld at all ?? i'm wondering if i could convert that radio to a ham portable if i can or if its too much money.. what crystals did this originally come with from the factory does anybody know..?

...And why did the departments on the east not keep theirs or use them as frequently? This goes for statewide trunking systems.
