master reset

Hello, I am trying to delete a stored frequency in my BC560XLT scanner or, do a master reset and delete. Could someone please help me with this process? I tried reprogramming over the channel with 000.000 then E, but it doesn't reprogram to a cleared channel and frequency. All help is greatly...
