BC560XLT Master Reset, delete programming

Hello, I am trying to delete a stored frequency in my BC560XLT scanner or, do a master reset and delete. Could someone please help me with this process? I tried reprogramming over the channel with 000.000 then E, but it doesn't reprogram to a cleared channel and frequency. All help is greatly appreciated.

To reset the scanner back to factory default(no freq. in the channels!) With the scanner off hold down Manual, 2 and 9 buttons and turn the scanner on then off.

On the 560 I don't think you can do a reset.Just reprogram each channel with what you want in it.

The "2 9 hold" sequence does not apply to that scanner.

To overwrite a frequency with zeros,

first press "manual" to stop scanning, then press the number of the channel that you want to erase, then press "manual" again.

Now enter 000.000 (all 6 digits) and press "enter".

When I recieved it, it had all channels set to 000.000. Now the only way I can reset is to factory preprogrammed. I'd like to clear al channels. Thanks again for all your help.

Beat me to it It just hit me how to do it after my previous post.

You may have a problem with the keypad if that isn't working.

The process I listed in post 6 is the correct procedure for that scanner.

I can program a specific frequency, hence the keypad is working. I can not clear it to all zeros like when I received it. Thanks for everyone's help and input.

Are we sure it isn't just "0" then enter?

No it's not that either. I can use all the numbers on the keypad to enter a frequency. I am puzzled how to clear all the channels to 000.000 I've even emailed Uniden.

OK a quick question why do you want it back clean?Just reprogram each channel to what you want in it.
