I would like to make a 1.2ghz allstar node. It will not need to put out much power since it will be used around the house. I am curious if anyone has made one with a 2m radio and transverter or if there is a module of some type?
If anyone has any ideas or experience with this or 1.2ghz repeaters I would like to hear them.

Icom used to sell 1.2 GHz analog repeaters (long before they came up with the D-STAR models).

Icom and Yaesu also had standalone 23cm mobile radios "back in the day".

Either of those options would be a place to start.

Yea, I see the older mobiles come up for sale from time to time. I was seeing if anyone had some creative ways to go about this. Either by modification to things or transverter options.
