11175 Data Stream

Was listening to online SDRs tonight and noticed that there is a data stream on 11175. Hearing it mainly on receivers in the northern US. Anyone have any ideas? There are still EAMs going on that the data stream is overriding.

Hearing it on the southeast US as well. Quite strong here.

Hello jasday. Over the years the same jamming signal has been heard many times during a time of military conflict involving the USA. My guess is possibly South or Central America jamming. Cuba? Always the same week but steady RTTY type signal. Since this morning it has not stopped on 11.175 USB. The HFGCS comms have been for the most part stronger into Wisconsin.

Ahh, havent heard about that before. I appreciate the knowledge David!

So if we are hearing it, any actual user of HFGCS would hear it as well. Would they use 8992 to check in instead of 11175? Im a very casual listener.

It would depend upon many factors. Right now only jamming is on 11.175 USB.. The HFGCS radio frequencies of 8.992 15.016 and 4.724 HFGCS are just fine tonight. But yes any casual listener has a chance to here it on 11.175 USB depending upon the radio and antenna they are using.
