Omni low angle radiator
After a 3-4 month break I will be on the radio today, lovely weather sunny and mild and very low wind and will be on 15m so if you hear a portable G call it may well be myself, by all means have a listen for me. I will do my best to stay around the middle of 15m.
20m fibreglass pole 1/2 wave vertical monoband on a hill top 100W Feed point about 13.5m
Conditions reported as GOOD for 15m .... so we shall see !
I will try and hang around 21.250 calling. I will try and be on air for 12:30-13:00 UTC
On air first contact call three Tennessee...on 21.245 now
OH and PA qsos made
Mississauga Canada qso on 20watts 5/2 peak to me
Oklahoma a new state I think qso 5/2 to him 5/7 to me decent contact
Algeria short hop to africa
West Virginia qso made
Comoron lslands qso southern Africa island
Qrt in ten mins on 21.260 for a bit
Bahrain to end with UK ex pat...not a bad session all in all
Nebraska USA to end...good stuff
I think I extend my stay on 21.260
Indonesia longest distance of the day...quite common contact from UK though 7,200 miles approx
QRT and home, 3 new ones in the bag.. I count new US States as new places, Oklahoma, Bahrain and Comoros Island activation. Lovely weather and good fun dx on 15m.
