PULASKI COUNTY | A 15-year-old Union Mills girl died from her
injuries Wednesday after she was trapped in car that was struck by
a MAC truck.
Sabrina Oberle, of LaPorte County, was a passenger in a 2004
Chrysler Sebring being driven by her mother southbound on Ind. 39
when a truck traveling eastbound on Ind. 14 hit the car at 11:44
a.m., Pulaski County officials said.
The girl became trapped in the car, Pulaski County sheriff’s
Deputy Michelle Jackson said.
Oberle was taken to the hospital with massive internal injuries
and died about two hours after the collision, the Pulaski County
coroner’s office said.
Her mother, whom officials did not name, was hospitalized and
was in the process of being transferred Wednesday night to South
Bend Memorial Hospital.
My heart and prayers go out to her family. She was a cheerleader and always had a positive attitude and cheered everyone up
