150.0000 mhz in lincoln county, mt. ?

Hi All

Just picked up someone this morning using 150.0000 mhz csq in lincoln county, mt.; libby area. Could be an image frequency. Checking the 150.8000 - 160.2150 area for the same dude. Hmmm Never have heard anyone around there before.

It was just some guy talking to someone else this morning. I wonder if it could be the local ARNG unit here in the Libby area. Whoever it was clammed up. but I'm still monitoring that freq. to see if they come back. Did not here the other party.

Sounded like some guy just saying hi to someone this morning. Oh, and got a new desktop digital voice recorder from RS coming, maybe by monday so I don't have to use the little battery operated one I have so I can record this stuff without the batteries dieing all the time.

What was the guy talking about? That may give a clue as to who he is, or works for
If you could only hear one side, it may be a simplex channel, or even a repeater input. Scan the 138-144 and 148-151 band for a possible repeater output to what you heard.

Been doing some checking on the net and as far as i can tell 150.0000 mhz is for federal non-voice Mobile satellite so it may have been an image frequency that i picked up. Have not heard him since this morning yet.

The reason is my notes show many Satellites, so if it was Telemetry, then that would be my first guess...

Bootlegger maybe? 150.000 sounds like something someone might punch in a radio bought on ebay.
