150.775 interference

A friend is getting interference on 150.775 near Branson, anyone with scanners
in springfield, or Branson can listen and tell us what you hear?

Sounds almost like a Micor that has gone into self oscillation.

Thanks, it seems to be affecting the Taney County Fire repeater.

I was also listening yesterday and Western Taney Fire (154.310) were searching around for a signal yesterday. I dont know if it was the "interfernce" also I hered that it might have been a new repeater and were trying it out. I do think though that they wre looking for interfernce.
Dont know but Ill listen.

150.775 is a shared frequency with the Federal Governement. I would start looking there. Most likely this is not malicious interference. There are also numerous regulations requarding this frequeny now, and realistically it should not be used as a repeater input because of the Federal users.

Uh, yeah, sure. I am sure they will move real quick. Only a few hundred mobiles, portables, pagers, etc.

I don't believe it to be malicious either, most likely by the sounds of it a Micor
PA going into oscillation.
