151.385 is used here in PA by DCNR and DEP units. I have the frequency in my Maratrac for work and I often hear comms from what sounds like a prison type operation. The accents seem to place it in the Carolinas or, maybe, Virginia.

I hear maintenence units calling seargents and captains...no location info has been gleaned.

I saw in the DB that this frequency is used by the NC Dept. of Justice, but no use is given.

Curious if anybody know who this might be.

151.385 MHz isn't used by the prison system in Virginia, I can tell you that much, they're either on lowband or on site UHF systems.

I gotta get my ears fixed. I don't know why I thought these were southern accents I was hearing. Maybe I need more sleep.

I heard a reference the "New York State Police dropping one off". Searching NY, I found this freq/tone combo on a repeater output for Westchester Co., NY Corrections. Repeater is in the Valhalla area. I hear them all the time here in SE PA.
