155.370. Statewide Intersystem

Normally this frequency is rarely used. I have been receiving transmissions on here from what sounds like a local college security dept. Is anyone else receiving the transmissions, and if so, who is it?

I am located in northern Erie County.

In NY State thats NYLAW1 and in many vehicles across the state including every NYSP car. In the past it was an "interagency" and is used as such still. It may be a patch from a dispatch center to the college for an event or something.

Providing tone and voice mode (analog? P25? DMR? etc) would potentially help locals pinpoint what you're hearing

In New York State NYLAW1 is conventional analog, PL 110.9 (optional on Rx) to allow the widest possible interoperability per NYS Homeland Security policy.
