I am a dispatcher for the sheriff office in shelby county and we use both vhf and southern linc to dispatch. Most of the radio traffic goes out on our VHF channel (154.7850 pl tone 123.0). Everything thing else goes out over southern linc.

This frequency was licesned to Town of Harpersville last year as a repeater output.
I also can hear the frequency in Tallapoosa Co.

I have asked around and nobody can tell me who is using this frequency. However, if you happen to catch any of the unit ids let me know i should be able to track down who they are.

In the last 10 minutes I have heard the following units id: 5199, 5161, 7505, 5231 and 5251. Also heard a unit call a "Code 10".
In the past I have traffic on 154.785, then I would hear the same unit(s) on 159.960.
Also I have heard Dispatch give a "hold all radio traffic" on both frequenices.

159.960 appears to be linked to and simulcasting 154.785.

It is in use by Harpersville - I heard a Harpersville officer reading a license plate number as I watched him stop a car on 280.

!59.96 is the north repeater for the Shelby Co Sheriff Dispatch Which includes the towns of Harpersville and Vincent

Could that frequency be used for security at the Gaston Plant and linked into the SO's repeater?
