162.4500 MHz (WXM60) on 162.5500 MHz!

Weather station WXM60 is, for some odd reason, transmitting on 162.5500 MHz instead of 162.4500 MHz. It's steping over NYC, making them both hard to hear. Very odd.

Must have been gliched when the storms blew through this afternoon.

162.550 sounds normal now and 162.450 is off the air.

I just got 162.4500 MHz very weakly. It faded out shortly after. I'm also getting more than one station on 162.5500 MHz, but it's probably due to tropo and not 162.4500 MHz TXing on it.

EDIT: I'm hearing an east-central Jersey Shore forecast on 162.5500 MHz, which I don't remember the NYC station usually broadcasting. It sounds like it's still transmitting on 162.5500 MHz.

EDIT2: WXM60 is still on 162.5500 MHz. The station I'm hearing on 162.4500 MHz must be coming in via tropo.

I believe that 162.55 MHz comes in from the Atlantic City/Tuckerton area.

No. The Atlantic City weather station is on 162.4000 MHz.

WXM 60 is still on 162.4500, they would never change to 162.5500 because NYC is such a powerhouse. Same with Atlantic City....Why would they change to 162.5500 only to get blown away by NYC???


EDIT:Changed 162.5 to 162.5500 NYC WILL ALWAYS BE ON 162.55

It just changed back within the last half hour. I checked at around 11:00 AM and it was still on 162.5500 MHz. Like fineshot1 said, it was probably a glitch due to the storms.
