Does anyone know who uses this? I just heard the following conversation on it:

Base: "Call me from Newark on the phone."
Mobile Unit: "Alright."

It's a nation-wide federal frequency that is shared with USGS (US Geological Survey), aka; earthquake dudes.

I'd like to piggy back on this thread if I may please? I am located in Bainbridge island Washington, near Seattle. I've put that frequency in my Pro97,primary scanner. Are there any other "must have" "known" USGS frequencies for me to put into my scanners,just in case?

This actually turned out to be USPS trucks in northern NJ.
