2 things with Luke AFB

First, I got a CloseCall hit as I was driving by the base yesterday on 167.850, some sort of data bursts. It could have been encrypted P25 but the several transmissions were very short and the 536 never decoded a NAC code.

Second, I was checking the database before I posted and ran across a freq listed of 53.670 shown as "End of Runway". Is this an error? I haven't heard of the Air Force using freqs in the 6M ham band like this.

167.8500 had been found at some DoE/VA Sites for paging...

Out West, it is generally DoE aka WAPA (Western Area Power Admin) could be telemetry, just like the 15x.xxxxx used by the Commercial/Municipal to control breakers etc (brain cramp on the terminology)
