I am having the same type problems, except I cannot get mine to work. I have the correct com port selected. I get a failed message stating make sure correct com port selected, scanner is turned on and cable is connected. I have all3 of these done and still nothing. I even tried uploading to scanner as well as downloading, still an error message.
