The radios basically hang in the box, suspended by wire ties wrapped around the two bracket holders on the sides of the scanner and CB. The wire ties are stout enough to prevent any up-movement and the weight of the scanner provides enough tension on the wire to keep everything nice and firm. I don't have any plans, I just scribbled down some measurements and sketched out a pattern on the plywood. An F150 would have different dimensions than an F350 anyway.

Hey, again:

Looked over the Maxrad site. Still cannot find the one that looks like yours stating it's all band or wide band. Do you have the model number I could use for reference? (maxscan1000(s)?

Do you have any services using VHF-Lo (39-50MHz) in your area and does the antenna (although not tuned for it) pick this part of the spectrum up at all...even marginally?
