Ok I know that it still be a while before MOSWIN state net will be fully operational. Now my question. Like the 700 and 800 Mhz systems will I be able to use only the control frequencies and not have program in all the frequencies for the system,?

Thankd

I'm listening to both Sikeston PD & Poplar Bluff HP Dispatch on the Sikeston PD TG of 3402. I wonder what the deal is on that.

Edit: As I listen more; this 3402 TG appears to be only for the HP. Makes me wonder now if Sikeston PD is actually going to use 3409.

MO HP was patched into Sikestons talkgroup during the blowing out of the Birds Point levee. 3402 should not be the MO HP talkgroup. This was a special event.

It seems that there are some trouble with the Sikeston tower. The cars in town are having trouble receiving. Also the Sikeston tower control channel is up and running but has never displayed a system ID (should be 3F8) or site number. Its been this way for over a month. I haven't heard any testing in several weeks. The only activity on MOSWIN currently seems to be some encrypted stuff (talkgroup 3409) on the Bloomfield tower.

Semo, I wondered about that special event thing that you spoke of. I haven't heard anything on the Sikeston or the Bloomfield towers in several days. I'm sure the hams are still running on Bloomfield but I keep them locked out.

Interestingly, I was wandering the fringe area of the HAM repeater, and never once could hit it today, I wonder if it is still up?

Where is the Bootheel tower?

It's the same tower that is currently a mobile relayer in Bakerville just east of Kennett at the Dunklin/Pemiscot line. Also the mobile relayer tower in Benton in northern Scott County is supposed to be another MOSWIN site.

It would be safe to say that UE provides a lot of tower space on the new system.

Lots of utility towers, lots of MSHP towers, and a smattering of ATC and USCC towers among others.
