I am beginning to think that the analogue Turkish Forestry 34MHz and the 35MHz ASFA system somehow have the same hardware / design origin.

OK, good to know. My guess is there's probably some old base station somewhere that's old and tired, and just randomly keys itself with and without PL.

Did anyone know that you CANNOT buy a brand-new 33MHz land mobile radio from any manufacturer any longer? Literally the only current manufacturer of a lowband mobile radio is Kenwood (NX-5600H and VM7000), and it's 39-50MHz. Please - prove me wrong.

Has ANYONE heard Lancaster, PA in the last few days? I wonder if they've dropped their lowband patches, or if there's just no path right now.
