I think you are right. Perhaps openings will just become more and more infrequent. Yesterday (4/21) was certainly much better, while the band above 27mhz was very quiet today. I did hear the 26.765 Mexico tax service. Costa Rica is still a really good haul on a bad day!

This is more like it! Nothing out of PA or OH today though, and Washington County, MD was absent. MUF contours at prop.kc2g.com reflected today would be a fairly decent day, and it was. I heard over ten collective minutes of traffic out of Falmouth, MA - that's never happened before. Lebanon, CT was the loudest (and longest) I've ever heard them.
I've removed 37 & 39MHz from my scan list due to increased environmental noise. Will review that in a couple months.

43.2800 MHz FM 100.0 Hz PL / C100.0 - Powhatan Ready Mix / Mechanicsville Concrete - license WPUN421 expired, lowband radios are used sort of like CB gear (most of the trucks have regular old CB equipment in them as well).
45.7600 MHz FM 77.0 Hz PL / C77.0 - Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Channel 25 - automatic CW ID (without tone) and a keyup (with 77.0 Hz PL tone). Licenses WPQJ633 KA2696 KNAE999 KBP891 and many many others [literally hundreds]. Mobiles ID over the air with the KA2696 mobiles license.
