30.1000 MHz FM 150.0 Hz PL (or 151.4 Hz PL) possibly Quantico Marine Corps Base - Quantico MCB - officially Marine Corps Base Quantico - located in Virginia. 30.100 MHz, 30.150 MHz and numerous others are used there for air to air, air to ground and training ops. I know 30.100 MHz FM is used by Canadian military as well (logged by myself and other DXers). Quantico Range Control Primary is 38.700 MHz FM (with the usual 150 Hz tone squelch). 40.100 MHz FM is confirmed as being used for air to air comms, along with several others.

Great opening this morning around 5:30am. The quality amongst the remaining low band systems is good and bad. @ 70MHz the tv lit up with CITO-TV (analogue 3) Timmins, Ontario, Canada, and a few seconds of CHBX-TV (analogue 2) Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
Bonus range control @ 10am.

Heard some Washington Co, MD fire dispatch in there

Man I miss this stuff. It was a great run for a few months, but it's all gone at this point, conditions just aren't there anymore.

Man a huge band opening here in tn at 6:30 am cst.Idid get a DTV stations low one north of nashville too. Band opend 6:30 am cst till if faded away at 10:30 am cst....Long post so.:

One of the most bizarre things I've ever heard. The 118.8Hz PL is curious as that's nearly the 2nd harmonic of 60Hz power line frequency. Anyone have any ideas how that was picked up?

The patch test was interesting. The 31.780/114.8 was curious. I'd caught it before but it's always unintelligible.

Otherwise, just day-to-day lately it's been the three CHP channels (45.940/45.420/45.400).

Had a single capture today around 7:30am, just caught the tail end of the transmission with the radio in search mode. 48.42, "... in the clear. OUT" Very military sounding.

Didn't look quick enough to catch the PL if there was one. Very clear transmission. I'm in East Central Ohio, radio is BCT15 antenna Antron 99 @30ft.

FYI most MIL traffic is actually 150Hz PL and that's typically due to them running SINCGARS radios in SC (single channel) and CT (clear text) mode.

48.4200 is still a heavily licensed Power/Utility frequency and many of the local Dispatch Center do use the similar MIL-Phrases, for safety of the linemen and network
