I know you can copy and paste channels/freqs. on this scanner, I noticed you could copy a whole system also,
But from what I can tell, you can't paste it anywhere else, all you can do is re-name it and put it right back into the memory.

Just curious if I'm missing something here, what is the purpose of being able to copy a system, but not really being able to do much else. When you could just go in and edit the names, and get the same results.??

Am I missing something here on this feature?

One way this could be handy is by copying a trunked system with lots of Talkgroups and many different control channels. Then all you have to do is change the name and change the control channel for each different site.

This is especially handy on big statewide systems since you can't put all the control channels in one bank and have them share the same TG list like on the Pro-96.

I use it (before I had SW) to set up a system TEMPLATE, then copy that before adding things such as channels or TGs. That way, I wouldn't have to set all the system options again.
