At my computer, duh!
My 246T periodically goes quiet in the middle of transmissions. I don't think it's signal related, I have a good strong signal, and I've tried all combinations of stock antenna / 800 mhz duckie and attenuation (just in case it was getting overloaded). I think it's related to some sort of priority setting, (like it's stopping to go check on another talkgroup or going back to the CC before the transmission ends) but I tried disabling them all and just parking it (so that it's not scanning) - and I still get the dropouts.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here?

I believe some other users had problems when weather priority was turned on. Also, you might try turning off data skip for the "system" you're listening too. I've had problems with fire/ems toneout and the data skip feature being turned on.

You might have Weather Priority (as mentioned above), Channel Priority, or Close Call turned on. Any/all of these take the scanner briefly off-channel to function.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Thank you. It was .... on my .... every time it....
I'll just go back to the "If the string is wet, it's raining, if its standing straight out, it's a hurricane" system and let the scanner just follow the local trunked system.
