296/796 Software

Folks,

I've never dabbled w/ the "Activity ID" option w/ the Uniden programming software, always sticking w/ the default "OFF".....have always left "Status Bit" at the default "ON." What's the scoop w/ these two options? I have not come across these options in the radio menu itself.

Cancel that request, anyway....my radio manuals are at my other house, but I now see that Uniden is kind enough to maintain online manuals on their website. Handy resource.
