The PSR500's screen is just fine. Remember that bigger is not always better. Those folks that are UNIDEN fans enjoy the great displays and a great radio. Those of us with the PRO96 and the PSR family of radios enjoy the best radio on the market, and the screen shows just we need it to. Would it be nice to have a gigantic screen? Sure it would, but you get use to it anyway.

Looking at LEH's image of the udiden means GRE all the way for me.

There is not enough contrast for me to see without squinting my eyes and staring for awhile.

GRE has blue to, lol are u going to have a problem with that? make sure u adjust the contrast on ur 396!

If u have the 396T on a low contrast setting on gre and the 396T

If u have the 396T on a low contrast setting it will be hard to read on very low setting, just play with the contrast it will fix ur problem's

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but the only thing GRE has in blue (and many other colors) is the little Alert LED on top, NOT the whole screen and keyboard like the BCD396T.

I'm about to put some translucent white plastic behind that clear window. Even down in the low A3 range the LEDs are bright as hell at night.
