Is there a running list someplace in this forum that has a listing of the 396XT issues that will be fixed with the next firmware update?

I believe one of the issues to be fixed was a priority mode problem, and there were a few others I think.

I was curious how many issues needed to be addressed by the firmware update, and I'm sure others would like to know too. My guess is that the 396XT has been a fairly good product introduction with not any major problems (I'm sure Uniden is happy about that).

What is wrong this is a perfect radio (BCD396XT)? Almost everybody is selling their BCD396T to buy the new radio now you want a firmware update. What needs fixing? The BCD396T should get a firmware update to fix P25 issue that the only issue that needs to be fix.

What P25 problem? The 396T doesn't have a P25 problem, it has a problem with Type II systems and digital talkgroups because the dumb radio can't tell a talkgroup is digital without first hearing the audio, even though the control channel supplies this information.

Do you have a link to a post/posts on that problem? I don't recall reading about that. Unlike most radios, the 396XT seems to be remarkably problem-free right from its introduction. There have been requests for tweaks and changes, but I don't recall posts about features being "broken." ???

Fix-It List for 396XT

Nothings perfect. There's always going to be bugs that crop up after a product is released, especially a new product, and to assume otherwise is absurd.

I concur whole-heartedly with your statement. From my personal experience as an engineer, I have never seen any product introductions without some sort of fix-it list, no matter no many PhDs you have working on it. That's just the nature of the beast.

It sure would be nice if Upman could chime in here on this issue, but from a marketing standpoint I would understand if he doesn't.

That previous post with the link to the Priority Mode issue was the thread I was referring to; I knew I read it in the forum somewhere, I just couldn't remember the exact thread...thanks!

As I was saying it only took about a month or two before people started asking for updates or upgrades to fix problems. What is wrong that you are asking for updates?

I recieve alot of motorboating on conventional P25 frequencies. I have a Pro-106 it is sitting right next to the BCD396T. Both radios are programmed with the same TXDPS frequencies on the Pro106 I can hear the person talking and the BCD396T stops on the same frequency but with alot of motorboating. Do you have a solution for this problem. I have already tried manual settings tuning with no success. If you can please help. My BCD396T is less then a year old.
