396XT remote port cover

The remote port cover on my new 396XT doesn't seem to stay in very well. Is anyone elses loose? Just curious.

I have found mine very difficult to remove using my fingernails alone. Occasionally I have to use the tip of my pocket knife.

I have been tempted to remove it permanently, but I don't want to loose the protection it provides.

I guess I'm the odd man out. Mine works fine and I do use it quite a bit.

That door is a pain. I took mine off and covered the hole at the top with electrical tape. I did the same thing with my old 396T.

Mine doesn't want to stay closed either. I thought about removing it, but I also don't want to lose the protection.
