Anti-wind turbine activists are taking their fight against the growing number of wind turbine farms to the 402 this weekend.

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in a rally that will travel along Highway 402 westbound on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. The protesters will make their way from Forest Road to Centre Road in Strathroy. OPP are aware of the protest and are warning of a possible closure of the 402 in that area during the rally. Police are also suggesting drivers plan an alternate route.

Could make for some interesting listening... Considering it's starting in Lambton County and ending in Middlesex County I'd expect one of the TAC talkgroups to be in use... I can't see them tying up 2 OPS talkgroups with this. The only part of this story that doesn't make sense is the 402 westbound part... to go from Forest Road to Centre Road, you'd have to be travelling eastbound! That's a pretty good distance too, close to 30km's....
