If you don't have one of those "expensive P25" scanners, it's encrypted in NYC. I'm not even sure if those scanners can even pick up everything on 417.200

What I meant was that it would SOUND encrypted and you will not be able to pick anything up if you don't own a P25 scanner, like myself.

FPS in Denver are on the Buckley AFB Trunked system. In the Northern CO area (Boulder/Fort Collins/Cheyenne, WY) they operate on 410.800 with a DPL of 125. Signal is pretty good from FTC but may not be that great in the Denver Metro area.

Update: "FPS Channel Change?"

well in Boston, Base is in the Clear and mobiles are almost always Encrypted, but i dont know abour NYC

A couple days ago here I heard them say they were changing channels.

Since then I found them on 408.20 P25 NAC:201...... meanwhile here in the New England area Ive noticed that 417.20 has since gone silent. Also heard them refer them as Denver Center. Dont know the reason for the change or if its temporary or permanent.

Seems a major move is a-foot.

Phili was down for a bit during the cut-overs, which might explain Denver covering.

This am, Boston was still on 417.2000, however NH folks reporting 408.2000 [add 9 Mhz for the input]

Time for folks all over to RESCAN for this change.

No change in San Antonio, still 410.800MHz $715 as of 8:30am.

I'm still in the process of confirming that their talkaround is 413.950MHz. Our wiki says it is P25, but I'm still hearing only analog.

417.2 should now be the input to 408.2 MHz, since this change is to move to 9 MHz standard repeater offsets in the UHF federal band.
