On my BCD436 and my BCD536 when I go to Analyze, then System Status and monitor a P25 site near me (the RWC Simulcast J site at Buckeye AZ on 769.11875) the radio will monitor it for a few seconds then reboot and go into scan mode.

This only happens when I monitor this particular site in the Analyze>System Status feature. When I listen to the site in scan mode it works just fine.

I have tried this on several other sites and never had an issue.

I wonder about the possibility of this being due to the fact I am about 1.5 miles from the site itself.

Is there someone else that is very close to a similar site that could try this and see if it does the same thing?

Hi Rich. Have you tried reformatting the SD card and doing a clear all data in Sentenial? There have been some threads about this issue either being caused by too many recording files on the card (there is a limit of about 55,000 files) or a corrupt SD card.

If formatting and clearing data does not solve the issue, try an new SD card.

I have recording turned off altogether and it does it on 2 different radios.

I will try reformatting the card and see what happens.

If you are ever in my neck of the woods perhaps you can try it on that site on your 436.

Well, it is almost certainly an overload situation. When I get further away from the offending tower the radio behaves correctly. When I went near a different tower on a different site/freq the same thing happened. I guess it cannot tolerate signal strengths in that mode at those levels.

That seems odd - why would it do that (excepting some type of bug)? I can't see why it would care about "too much signal"... weak signal(s) - sure - it may not work properly (but not reboot).

This would make at least two different issues now where these radios reboot (as a "solution"?).

It's has to be a bug.

My 436 reboots while analyzing Ohio MARCS:IP.

I verified it's not signal as I'm around 1000 meters away from site and unit reboots with no antenna connected.
