I was In North Jersey today and also in NYC.

I heard several APCO Digital transmissions on 460.625

It was not NY (no accent).

I heard Engine 5 for fuel.

Any ideas?

Nope - Edison simulcasts their FD main TGID on the old frequency of 460.525 with the PL you mentioned. It's an analog broadcast off the console main feed (field units will have the tell-tale warble of P25 audio to their voice, but the dispatcher will be heard in plain analog - they are tapping the feed from before the vocoder stage).

Got it

Google Search did it.

Engine 5 460.625

Lead me right to Westport Ct FD Website, then consulted radio reference Ct,
shows they use P25.

Case closed. Thanks.
