Hello to all...

There is a Moto DMR station I used to monitor which is somewhat local, but apparently using a radio system generating weak signals outside of the
operating area of the complex. They are in the 460 Mhz range.

When I had my discone antenna mounted topside on my house, I was able to monitor the system. I've had to move the antenna to a new location
where the elevated height of the Discone came down around 15 feet and as a result, I am no longer receiving the above system.

I am using good coax and it goes into a Stridsberg Mulitoupler. I am receiving all the other system and stations on my SDS 100 and 200 that I received prior to
moving the antenna.

Any thoughts? I am stuck with the new location of the Discone but maybe a Yagi? Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

Try connecting the discone direct to the radio and bypass the Strideberg.

But, I agree with Merlin, try a Yagi. A UHF yagi is pretty small and will give you quite a bit of gain.

Any particular brand or model Yagi you would recommend?

Search e-Bay, there's often good ones for cheap on there.

Lots of good brands, look for the commercial LMR manufacturers over the Cheap Chinese Antennas.
