Hey everyone, I had tried to access the archived broadcasts from the Fairfax Hospital but it said that only admins could access it, however I'm able to listen to them through OpenMhz but only for 1 month back. Does anyone know an alternative way that I can possibly access that?

Is 49B used to communicate between ambulances and the hospital? Broadcastify has a policy prohibiting ambulance-to-hospital channels and talkgroups on its feeds, which means they shouldn't be available to the public. I believe the reason is to avoid anybody raising concerns about patient privacy. Which Fairfax County feed do you think includes 49B?

From what I can tell its mostly used like UVA's helicopter radio in Albemarle County/Charlottesville is, talking to doctors onboard to get patient info before they arrive. It should have its own, Broadcastify has a link for it but like I said it is restricted: 49B Fairfax Hospital/Fire Group Calls Live .

@gryyy Ok. I believe I read that Calls will include talkgroups that are not allowed on traditional Broadcastify feeds, such as ambulance-to-hospital talkgroups and police tactical talkgroups. However, it is my understanding that those restricted talkgroups are for the benefit of the feed providers only, and not the general public. From the way you describe 49B, with patient info being given, that would be one of those restricted talkgroups.

OpenMHZ is a different organization and probably isn't as restrictive about the contents of its feeds. But like you said, they don't store the archives as long.

I am rather surprised 49B is not encrypted. Should be if transmitting PHI. Will need to monitor same for a few days.
