Currently:
Annunciation of 'FavList' activation = BeeBoop
Annunciation of 'FavList' deactivation = BeeBoop

Suggestion:
Annunciation of 'FavList' activation = BeeBoop
Annunciation of 'FavList' deactivation = BooBeep

Applies to Sites, Systems and Depts, too, of course.

This would be *really* useful for those times when it is impractical to look at the display!

Under some conditions it's hard to remember what's active and what's not, and this would be a way cool way to check without exposing the display.

Guessing I'm not the first to suggest this... :)

"Sounds" like a good idea to me, no pun intended.

And of course could be applied to both models: 436 and 536.

Why stop there? It'd be something if we could create/load our own custom sounds, like you can on most phones. The SD card could hold the audio files and play them back based on what happened. For example, you could have your better half record "Scanlist On" and "Scanlist Off" in a sultry voice for you, etc. :D

I'd probably opt to use various R2D2 wav files from the 'net but that's just because I've got a bit of a warped sense of humor...

LOL...my wife would say "you paid to much for this damn scanner" every time I pushed a button. I have a neighbor who could do the sultry voice thing.

even better

How bout a different sound for each function! This way if you were blind or if you were operating it
mobile you could know what you were doing by each sound!

A little off-topic but I just have to share that in the early days of developing ActiveEMS I had my phone set up with the "beeeeep boooop WAAAAAAAAH!" from the old TV show "Emergency!" so that it would play that whenever a major call went out over the PFD's public CAD page. Ohhhh boy did my ex wife HATE that, LOL....

Anyway, I digress...

Because this might make blind people go mobile.

Actually, there are Braille options for this..I think ?
