Hi,

Fun hobby, ut it can be a bit frustrating at times.
What drives me nuts in trying to ID is the fact that so many likely
candidates use the same Fred's.

Hearing a language that I am not familiar with on 6.030.
Boston.
Local time is 7:20 am

Anyone know what it (likely) is ?

Thanks,
Bob

Note R. Marti HF is directed at Cuba by the U.S. government but the transmitters are in Greenville, NC>
CHU Timesignal is NOT on that frequency. they use 3330, 7850 and 14670. (There is a Pinterest user chu6330--may be you got them confused with that?)

If it's Marti, and it sounds like that's probably what was heard, they ID a lot. Very slick programming.

And ditto on Short-wave.info. Very handy. I also keep a text file copy of the latest EiBi frequency list on my tablet computer. I use both resources.

As for other stations on the frequency, I used to hear CFVP / CKMX "Funny 1060" on 6030 khz a lot, competing with Marti. Not so much since the sunspots dived in 2017, though. And at 100 watts, they probably don't make it to the East coast under normal HF conditions.
