I see they have added a system for Dispatch, operation, and tactical. But Im mostly intrested in listening to the dispatch part. While I can pickup the fire talkgroup i cant hear anything on the 60 control talkgroup(fire/ems Dispatch). I wonder if the site is still in the works or something.

The Westchester County UHF trunked system has been on the air for over 7 years.

60-Control does not tone out on the trunked system, you have to monitor the various conventional frequencies for that.

Ok thanx. I was just curious as within the last month I notice all these extra trunked groups on the fire/ems side of 60 control

The only system I know of that sends paging tones over 800 MHz digital trunking is Saratoga County, and it sounds awful! I'd be very surprised if it could actually open any pagers.

That talkgroup has been on the system for years, you probably just never noticed it before. I reorganized the talkgroups categories last month, it was previously lumped in with some of the other talkgroups.

No one makes an 800 MHz voice pager, so it's a moot point. Saratoga has 155.925 patched to the trunked system for convenience, so you can monitor the dispatch frequency with a trunked radio, it's not intended to alert anything. Also, the Westchester system is UHF analog, not 800 digital.

As of 3/03/13 Briarcliff Manor transferred their dispatch to 60 Control and started using Fire 12 for response. Sleepy Hollow FD has been utilizing Fire 12 for a couple of years now.

I understand that. My comment was in support of the idea that paging on other bands was probably going to be around for a while. The fire brigade at the MPM Silicones plant in Waterford is on a commercial 800 EDACS system and has always had Saratoga County's low band dispatch channels patched in. They don't get alerted there, but it does enable them to know what is going on outside the plant.

Talkgroup 4816 is referred to as the "hailing channel" and also as the "60 Control Channel." It is used by 60 Control to talk to the county PD boats, the county airport, and the county OEM. It is not used for dispatch. FD radios show "60 Control" when this group is selected.
