700 ?

i live in south jersey just outside philly about 10 minutes . i have been picking up some freqs in the upper 700 mhz . not sure what it is , sound to me like some kind of power compnay . one very active one is 792.83750 thanks for the help

You are most likely picking up an image frequency from strong signal overload on your scanner.

There must be a nearby tower site with strong 800 or 900 mhz transmitters.

You did not mention which model scanner you are using.
