780 contrast

Hey all,

Is the display contrast on the Uniden 780 adjustable? I may buy one (used obviously) but the seller says, "The display constrast is lower than other scanners I have use in the past. It is like this since first
purchased."

The BC780XLT has an adjustable contrast display. You have two settings witch are High and Medium. You can locate these settings in your SYSTEM DATA menu.

On my BC780XLT the Black parts of the display are not as dark as the ones on my BC785D. The 780 has always been like this and has not changed over time from what I can tell.

No it does not have an adjustable contrast display. The setting you are talking about is for the light dimmer.
