My local PD has start the ENC thing 24/7/365. :( So I was wondering if there is any way to skip the encryted transmissions, but in the unlikely event that the PD broadcasts in the clear it would monitor normally?

If I am not mistaken, if they are using a 9600 baud system, the only thing that you can do is lock the frequencies and or talkgroups out.

Hello,

You can set the Status Bit to OFF. However, this will only work on 3600 Baud Moto Systems, and if one subscriber does not use the ENC, you will hear R2D2 and CP3O. This will not work for 9600 Baud Moto Systems. You would have to L/O the TG's.
