Does anyone monitor these and is there any regular radio checks on them so I can test my receive only radio on them?

I have a radio that always monitors them. The only thing I ever hear is whenever there are special events, they tend to use those fricassee. But they tend to not go through a repeater, they tend to only use them simplex. The last time I remember any significant activity on those frequencies is the last time an officer got killed and they were escorting the carcass from the scene of the crash to that church in Henderson, you could hear the different agencies coordinating on that frequency.

Thank you. I was thinking INTEROP would be tested from time to time. I remember they did a couple radio rodeos from LVMS. Maybe less with NSRS having patches to LVMPD and SNACC? These analog INTEROP freqs getting old and dated?

I do hear tests being conducted on them, but it doesn’t sound like they are testing the repeaters or testing the infrastructure. It just sounds like individual officers, or perhaps the radio department tuning to those frequencies and doing a test of the individual radio itself.

Metro Search and Rescue uses 8TAC91 every now and then. You'll hear HPD testing 8CALL90 at or around 1am once a week. Other than that, those frequencies aren't teeming with life, but they are definitely interesting to listen to when they are being used.
