Installation of a statewide communication program is already under way. Oklahoma received $28 million over the past two years from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to set up an 800-megahertz system along the Interstate 44 corridor where most of the population lives.

Kinda interesting. My only question is why Bob Ricks says that he wants to be able to communicate with sister agencies but will not allow us to establish a mutual aide link between okc dispatch and his? Just ironic. Maybe he didn't make the decision on that.
