Hey everyone. 854.1125 is licensed to Sacramento County. I've heard a little activity on this freq with DPL of 131. This seems to be the standard tone for Sac County when it comes to conventional freqs. ANyone know who might be using this?

Licensee information comes back to a transmitter address of 8521 LAGUNA STATION RD in Sacramento. Anyone know what might be at that location?

Ant, RolnCode3? Any ideas?

OK, did a little more research on this. I pulled the address up on googleearth, (which is a great program by the way) and it looks like some sort of water treatment plant or something.

Dosen't sound like it would be too exciting to listen to any further :)

The treatment plant is on the County TRS. Their talkgroups have "RTP" in them. Didn't know there was any conventional radio traffic out there. Anyways, my department provides law enforcement services to the plant, so we spend a crapload (no pun intended) of hours out there. I'll punch it up and see if I can figure out what it's used for.

Glacier Ice Company is also on Laguna Station or one of the little roads right off it. There's also rail lines that run into the plant to deliver chemicals. There is a private security company that mans the front gate. It's possible the county licenses the frequency and the security company uses the frequency.

What I heard didn't sound like security. It sounded like administrative folks. I'll listen a little more tomorrow.

The County Parks Department provides law enforcement to the sewer plant? That does not sound quite right to me.

Believe me, if it wasn't true I wouldn't admit it in public. They have a bufferlands around the plant because of all the chemicals they use, and we patrol that in addition to the plant itself. If you ever want to do a ridealong, I'll take ya' down there.

Anyways, back to the thread: I heard them talking about a "harvester" which I know is a piece of equipment they use. I'm not sure who is operating it, though, because it was about 4am when I heard some of the traffic. I'll have to go up to the control tower and just ask who is using these radios.

Revisiting a WAY old thread, I remembered us talking about these freqs, so I dug into my mobile and found these freqs:

"PLANT1"
input: (didn't check, shouldn't be hard to figure out)
output: 854.1125
DCS 131

"PLANT2"
input: 814.2375
output: 859.2375
DCS 131

They are used at the plant, but I still don't know who is actually using it. I heard traffic on them while I was at the plant, but there were too many people working to figure out who it is.
