996XT Questions.

So I have taken notice, every time I turn on my 996xt, I have to turn the Unit ID feature on. Is there a way to make this feature stay on?

Another question.

With one P25 system I have, I am missing a conversations because as soon as they quit talking it jumps to another active TG and so on. How exactly can I make that better? While logging, there are times a TG keys up with a radio ID, they don't talk and it jumps to another TG for another conversation, and back to the original TG and only get the end of the conversation.

The P25 Err rates are very low so that is always a good thing.

Are you using the latest firmware? For the jumping, increase your Channel Delay.

Yes I am.

How do I change the channel delay?

Menu-Program system-(system name)-Edit system options-Set delay?

There is also an option under edit site for "set hold time" so which one is the channel delay?

I've read the "easier to read manual" and it just made me even more confused.

You want to set the Delay, not the Hold Time.
