During the Fort Smith airshow held over the weekend, there was a demo from the A-10 West Team is located at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. I missed the airshow but understand the A-10's are coming later in the year to FSM during the phaseout of the F-16's. Did anyone attend the airshow and monitor any of the A-10's? I've got a good set of frequencies for the F-16's and hear them almost daily especially when they are training in the Shirley MOA but I don't have any A-10 frequencies.

Where are the A-10's that are coming to FSM based out of now? Knowing where they are at now might be a start to research the frequencies for their current base of operation. I do know they make extensive use of the lowband frequencies with vhf mixed in.

F16 frequencies.

I also would appreciate knowing those F16 frequencies. I live in North Little Rock and would like any frequencies for the Shirley MOA as well. Thanks very much.

I was at the Airshow on Friday and Saturday. I never picked up the A-10 demo team comms. The f-16's were using 268.100 plane to plane and talking to the airboss on 118.300.

I think it is a while out for the A-10's.

These kind of lists could be very handy to keep around. You might consider turning this list into a Wiki page so it doesn't get lost.....73s Mike

I will look up these for you I have them written down somewhere. I was at Davis Monthan for the Heritage Conference and heard and saw the A-10's, F-16's and F22 RAPTOR. If I recall it was discrete frequency that the a-10's used.

OK... I am new to the Mil-Air monitoring and I am close enough to the Shirley MOA to probably hear them with some regularity (in Russellville).
So my question- Which frequencies are FM and which are AM? Will the BCD396T switch automatically or will I need to do some changes?
Thanks,
JJ Smith

All the posted frequencies are AM. Use of FM is rare, usually only in close support of ground troops and therefore likely out of range for you.

F16 were flying today. I assume they were in the Rivers MOA. 141.600, 141.775 and 143.425. Switched to Victor1 140.425 to report their status to the command post on the way back to FSM.
