Well, if you do see any aurora at latitudes that low, HF/VHF/UHF propagation problems are going to be interesting.I'm down around 36~37°, so I won't see any aurora results...not that I am complaining if you know what I mean.

For those of us in Emergency Management - should I be concerned in the Southern US? Any impacts to VHF, UHF, 7/800 MHz, and cell?I can tell you any solar storm/.aurora activity KILLS HF and AM in Alaska.
How bad does it get?
I cant hear 50kw AM's 300 miles away AT ALL.. and there are several of them

I don’t really use HF in my day to day life, but I know it can cause problems with satellites. I guess if the lights go out I’ll at least know why. Gonna be back to cups and strings hahaha. If the compass on my desk starts going crazy I’ll know to be more concerned.Heck if i know..... honestly. it'll make things interesting, but not ruin them.
A friend in SC had a hatian creole am running low power from orlando fort a few minutes.. then it disappeared
Funny though because as a scientist I know very little about CMEs. Just a pharma / medical nerd, but I do enjoy some stars.
Well I make sildenafil and tadalafil soooooo. I’m not so certain my lab partners would be worried about the CME but rather the local ME.While the hams are crying and dying about no DX when this thing hits, at least you can medicate yourself.
