But does anyone here do shortwave? I recently got a Sony ICF-SW7600GR and I was wondering about certain interesting frequencies(BBC, Voice of America?, other polictical type stations, pirate stations, anything but religious broadcasts, etc..) and if anyone had a schedual of these that was actually correct. I've found them on the internet but for some reason they never seem to correspond or work at the right times. Maybe my radio is too weak?

Another question I had was about numbers stations. Ever since I've heard about these I've been completely facinated and I've been trying to pick them up myself. Does anyone functioning schedual to any of these

Thanks, Alex

PS: sorry about all the questions, I'm sorta new to radio.

Pick up a current copy of Popular Communications. It has a list of current stations broadcasting world news, etc., with times and frequencies. It also has a section on utility stations, pirate broadcasts and others.

An excellent reference is the "Passport to World Band Radio".

Enjoy!

The pirates used to hang around 6955 usb/lsb.
Some really good stuff used to be on there!
I say used, as all my HF gear was ruined not long ago by a nearby bolt of lightning!!
