A general message to anyone wanting to submit Frequency data for the 800MHz public safety band:
Please do not use the FCC database as the primary source for updates. You can use it to validate things, but the FCC data can not be trusted. The
FCC manages the Regional frequency issues in the 821 MHz public safety band a little different than the VHF/UHF bands. The FCC doesn't require accurate location information on the license as long as the change is approved by the regional frequency coordinator (currently Steve Procter). The FCC authorizes the regional committee (Region 41 here) to manage the frequencies in the pool without FCC intervention when it comes to what frequencies are used at whatever locations.
So the FCC data is only for "clues" as to what is happening, it will not be an accurate picture of what is currently implemented.
Thanks,
