AAA Towing

Good question! I'm still searching for more frequencies they use in the northern NJ area as well. Some words of advice: Scan the 461- 462 MHz range and 150.800 - 151 MHz range. So far, that's where I found most of the northern NJ AAA frequencies. I don't have access to the actual frequencies right now since I'm at work. Also, keep in mind that many private Tow Truck companies have contracts with AAA, therefore they'll probably be using their own frequencies. Check the FCC database for the frequencies used by all of your local private Towing Companies. Finally, many of these companies are now using Nextel phones to communicate rather than conventional radio AND some previous Nextel users are now planning on going back to conventional radio, so also check the FCC database for pending licenses. I hope this helps and if anyone has additional AAA frequencies for the Northern NJ area, please post them here. thanks!

anyone know triple A motorclub freq's for monmouth ocean area?

Dont know the exact freq but they do have a dispatch freq in the 452.XXXX Mhz range.
I think they have some other channels in the 452 range as well. I am not sure but I think its all simplex so you may only hear dispatch and not the mobiles unless they are close to you.....

Ok, this is what I have so far in the Northern NJ area that I can confirm hearing AAA Towing on in the past: 452.600, 461.050, 472.2375, and 472.5125. Hopefully some more of you can add some more to that list There's also a local towing company in Kenilworth, NJ that subcontracts to AAA. They are called L & J Towing and use 150.845

The last two times that I was towed by a AAA towing contractor,it was two different companies in each case. Both subcontracted to AAA in Wayne. Both Companies had Kenwood TK6110 Lowband radios in the trucks and it sounded like they called out to AAA. Like someone stated they were using Nextel but that does not seem to be the case that much anymore.
