Ok, so its been a while since Ive been on here. I was just wondering if the database is correct for AACO. I have all of the frequencies programed and as well as the talkgroup ID'S for the police and fire but for some reason I can't hear the police departmet. I am using a radio shack P96 digital scanner.

It's fine, no doubt this is a programming issue. How do you have this system programmed? The police are digital....I'm not a Pro-96 owner, but I'm sure there are others here that are...73 (best regards) Mike

I have a 96...just put in the control channel and make sure that bank is "open". Let the discovery begin.

Where are you located....I have a hard time picking them up In Ellicott City.

Whatever kept you away, we're glad you're back. If you're using WIN96 to program your scanner, I'll be happy to share my PRO-96 files with you.

I am located in Brooklyn about 3 miles from Northern District. Even with the bank open all I get is a loud rapid tone on the PD talk groups, no voice. Lebrunmn that would be great if you could send me that WIN96 file.

Here you go... I've changed the .p96 to .txt--you'll have to rename the file as a .p96 again, so it'll work for you... I have a bunch of other things loaded in there, too: AACo, Balto City, Balto County, OC, and BWI PD.

Please let me know if you have any problems with the file.

Regards,

Rename the file you downloaded so that it has a .p96 extension, and put it into a directory Win96 recognizes (or if there's a file/open dialog, make sure you point to the directory where the file exists)

So simple even a caveman can do it, hi.

Can you send me your e--mail address via private message, and I'll send you the regular file--that'll take one variable out of the equation...

BayBum-

Glad it works for you... I use it everyday--on my 2096 in the car, and the Pro-96 at home--it pretty much covers everything I need.
