I used to have my Uniden BCD536HP Scanner programmed for just the AACo Motorola Type II SmartZone System (A43F). I have always had the following two "Priority Channels" (P-Ch) programmed; one in the Fire/EMS Department and one in the Police Department:
- Fire/EMS ---> 1A Dispatch ---> TGID 16
- Police ---> 11C Western District ---> TGID 17392
Now here is the start to my question...
For the longest time, I would do a "Channel Hold" on the following Police Department Talkgroup:
- Police ---> 11E Criminal Investigation Division (Ch. 5) ---> TGID 17456
So I would hear traffic on 11E until 1A or 11C became active. Then I would hear 1A or 11C. That was what I wanted. Just to monitor the three talkgroups primarily.
Now I have added some additional systems and departments to the programming and I am using various "Quick Keys" and "Avoids" to switch in or out additional Channels and Talkgroups.
But... Now if I do a "Channel Hold" on 11E, my two "Priority Channels" never go active. The scanner just sits on 11E forever without switching to 1A or 11C if they become active.
Any idea what I might have done to cause the two "Priority Channels" to stop being actively checked. And yes, under the "P-Ch" column both talkgroups are still "On".
Thanks in advance for any help... Dave K4EET
